From the recording One Tank
We had a song half written, taking up shop in a box along with several other half-written songs...
It was located in our "songs we'll get back to" box.
So, we were watching the news one morning and they were talking about the rise in gas prices... they were reporting on "One Tank Trips".
Yes, trips you can take only using one tank of gas. It reminded us of one of the songs from the box... so, we quickly turned the tv off, pulled the song and finished it in about 20 minutes...
well...
2 months and 20 minutes.

Lyrics
ONE TANK
Looking through my old photographs
Pictures of memories past
I’m moving one tank far from you
Simple minds could see we were through
I let you control my whole hemisphere
Crazy me, silly me, what did I hear
I need you, I want you, and I love you too
Tell me baby, what would you do?
Moving one tank far from you
Moving one tank far away from you
Friend of a friend said you were looking for me
Blows my mind, how you can’t see
Your gentle lies, nothing was true
And up til now, I believed in you
Moving one tank far from you
Moving one tank far away from you
Bridge:
Street signs and cars pass me by
As I leave it all behind
And every spin of the tire just takes me
Takes me farther down the line
I tossed out my old photographs
I see them flutter through he air
There’s no more sadness here
A smile is all I long to bare
Moving one tank far from you
Moving one tank far away from you
