I had a friend, a best friend, the closest thing to a child I will ever have, and his name was Gohan. He was a 90 pound red Siberian husky. Beautiful, strong and very distinguished. I loved him so much. He was a rescue dog, but the truth is he came to me at a time when I needed him probably more than he ever needed me.
Two years ago he fought a long and hard battle with cancer. I watched my powerful savior drop to a very weak 30 pounds and finally he passed...
I only had him for 10 years, but those were 10 of the very best years of my entire life.
The weekend of his passing we were to play a show in Lajitas. On the road to West Texas, we wrote this song.
This is for all those we've lost that we hold dear to our hearts...
